Birthday month reflections: March 4th

You should have the right motivations for living and working rather than false ones. For example, I've heard from one too many people my age about how they were told by their parents to get a college job if they wanted to make it in life. Too many of them all; attempted suicide, felt pressured to live up to a high standard, hated themselves, and didn't want the life shown to them. A lot of them knew that this kind of life would work them to death with no real goal or purpose. These people weren't religious or cared too much about God in their life so it makes sense why they would feel this way. Your goal in life shouldn't be just to work and survive or even work for family, friends, and yourself even though these should be secondary. Your goal should be to work and live in the place that God wants you to be since He is the one who gives meaning to your life. You have a special place in life that no one else can replace. Don't bother listening to the modern world who says that you can be whatever you want to be while also implying that you are replaceable because if you can achieve it, then someone else can also do it and maybe even do it better.
