Judge, Jury, and Executioner – Tale one
In a gunfight in the middle of the city, Damian's family gets killed in the crossfire. Though Damian gets shot as well, he survives, but his sanity doesn't survive. The cops couldn't arrest the shooters since they got away and they aren't going after them as they have other crimes to deal with. Since Damian is a high-ranking military officer, he gets the police to give him access to their database and he uses this to finds his family's killers. After secretly taking ammo and weapons from the police station, he goes out to kill. He ends up killing over twenty people in one day as they were associated with the people who killed his family. This gave him a special kind of satisfaction unlike any other. He wants to feel it again, so he accesses the police database again and prints up a huge list of criminals and their known locations. With his arsenal that he took from the military, he goes after each and every single criminal and kills them all including those associated with them. This feeling that he has is now insatiable so he steps up his targets. He takes a jet from an airfield and bombs a prison.
After this, he knows that the military is onto him that he goes around killing people so he goes under the radar, but there are plenty of people left to kill who harm the innocent. There are governments who harm the people they govern and other countries they come in contact to so he goes after them next. He gets rid of one set of governors, but when he gets rid of another and comes back another leader has taken the previous' place. The people of the country are the ones to blame for the country's state which is clear to Damian. He sneaks into a military base and launches several nukes at the country which annihilates it. This starts a nuclear war between several countries. Now there's another target who kills the innocent…himself so he takes a pistol…and kills the last killer.

Life Without Purpose – Tale Two
Another killer, a different start.
Life has no purpose to Seth. No meaning. All of the good that is done in the world is for nothing since evil is still prominent and seems to be unending. No reason to live just survival and good moments and events just keep you going to suffer more and for what? Seth can't find a reason and thinks what he thinks is true. Who really gives humanity any value if you can just say it's all relative? Who are you to tell him what's right and wrong?  If what makes him feel good only matters, then why not take everything he wants. He takes a sharp knife from his kitchen and goes out to kill and steal from his neighbor. Seth does so successfully and takes everything they own, and he goes on a shopping spree to buy everything that he could ever want. The satisfaction of getting everything and wasting all of his and his neighbor's money lasts only a day so he has to be satisfied in another way. He rapes a woman then a man then a child then a dog, each one of his victims he kills after he's done with them. These things only give him satisfaction for only so long and he goes for one more buzz. He takes a ton of drugs, drinks bottles of alcohol, and buys a bunch of weapons and goes on a killing spree in town. He gets taken down by the police and vigilante civilians, but not after taking forty or so people with him.
A different story sees a woman giving up on life, spending all her money, and maxing out all her credit cards for one last shopping spree on everything that she enjoys. She enjoys it for a couple days then ends her life with a noose. What a life to live when you make it about making it all about feeling good.

The Men Who Try to Kill God - Tale Three
There exists an ancient temple that is said to have the key to killing God Himself. Many have gone in and came out afraid of everything around them, others have become devout worshipers of God, and some go insane. Another man named Calvin enters the temple to see if he can do it. The first thing he finds is a mysterious man sitting at a table.
"What are you doing here? Are you here to find the secret to kill God?" Calvin asks.
The man smiles and says, "I didn't know that was in this temple. I just like sitting at this table. The chair is very comfortable. Sit with me."
Calvin sits with the man and feels an odd comfort while being with this man.
"Why do you want to kill God?" the man asks.
"He's the source of everything that's evil in the world."
"Are you sure of that?"
"Of course. How else can you explain all of the evil of the world? The people, the diseases, the death."
"People have the free choice of being evil or good."
"That doesn't matter."
"So why don't you try removing their free will and diseases?"
"I will and that will kill God."
"I'm sure it will."
Calvin exits the temple and tries to do what he said and ends up becoming an evil scientist who tries to wipe out humanity's free will and choice. He gets sentenced to a lifetime in jail.
Another person enters the temple. Her name is Beatrice and she encounters the same man Calvin did. He offers the same thing Calvin did and she sits beside the man.
"Why do you want to kill God?" the man asks her.
"Because life is unfair to me," she answers.
"Why are you such an important person?"
"Because I feel like I am."
"So go out and make yourself a god."
"I will and that will kill God."
Beatrice goes out and tries to make the world worship her as if she were God, but they could care less about her as she isn't anything special. She kills herself in her depression.
Another person enters the temple. His name is Dale and the same thing happens with him.
"Why do you want to kill God?" the man asks.
"Why not?" Dale answers, "It's a challenge that no one else could accomplish."
"It is said that God lives through his faithful servants."
"Yes. I will kill them and that will kill God."
Dale tries to kill as many religious people as possible, but he ends up being gunned down by law enforcement. Another person enters the temple. Her name is Violet, and the same thing happens to her.
"Who are you?" Violet asks the man.
"I am," the man answers.
Violent shoots the man in the head with a pistol.
"That's what I thought," she says.
She then exits the temple, but someone touches her shoulder from behind.
"Well that wasn’t very nice," the man says to Violet with a smile.
Violet tries to shoot the man several times, but he doesn't fall down or flinch. He just stands there with his arms out.
"You're making a mistake," the man says, "I'll give you another chance among the many chances I've given you. Walk with me and you'll know true happiness and you'll destroy the true source of evil."
He holds out his hand which she hesitantly takes. She later becomes a devote member of the church by helping the poor, taking care of the sick, and loving her enemies. Because of this, she helps the world be rid of a little evil in the world. A little, but a lot combined with the efforts of other people. She later becomes a saint.
Another person enters the temple. His name is Rick and the same thing happens with him.
"Why do you want to kill God?" the man asks with a welcoming smile on his face.

Is Death So Evil? – Tale Four
Mankind has such a fascination with life and death and it deals with it every day. It is no wonder why so many stories deal with them and why so many people deal against and with life and death. Killers are a type of people who deal in death almost daily to a point where it became a profession. The military, assassins, hitmen, serial killers, vigilantes and even law enforcement and doctors will deal in death when needed. This story deals with a set of killers, The Crimson Killers, who are going after another group of killers, Judas' Disciples. They've chased them down to a forest where they hope to end the other's reign of death. While hunting them down, the Disciples hide in the dark while talking about mercy and telling them to turn around or else. The Crimson Killers ignore this and go after the Disciples but are ambushed one after the other and killed horrifically. One is sliced in half, another is dosed in acid, and another is beaten to death with bare fists. The last one's limbs are chopped off then their head is cut off. The remains of the killers are properly buried and prayed over. Families of the Crimson Killers are secretly sent the location of their bodies, but not much is done with the information. Judas' Disciples are killers who have turned from their evil ways to serve the Truth. When they aren't working under the name, Judas' Disciples, they're doing charity work, serving in the police, the military, and in the science and medical industry. When they do work under the name Judas' Disciples, they fight against killers who attack them first. They use tactics of old since self-defense is the only option.
It is said that God prioritizes the people who are the farthest gone so others can see if they can be saved. These people, in turn, give their talents and abilities to the greater cause. People like Judas' Disciples evoke the Wrath of God and there is no mercy for those who chose to kill first and don't take the second chance given to them.
Another story sees a wounded veteran is being sent to a hospital. He gets put under for surgery, but when he wakes up, he's tied to several medical devices that keep track of his condition. There are several other people who have been operated on in the room. Some are severally mutated while others are gored beyond recognition. The marine quickly disconnects himself from the medical devices and waits for whoever sent him here to notice the disconnection. A couple people in medical outfits come in and he knocks out one of them and questions the other. The one tells him that they're in a special facility where they do secret tests to increase the lives of humans, but from what the veteran has seen, this isn't the case so he knocks out this man and explores the facility. He evades detection long enough to find out more on this mysterious organization. They're keeping people who are on the edge of death from their diseases and injuries alive to further their research. Most of these people are still in severe pain and continually suffer as long as they're kept alive so the veteran tries to find a way to shut off the facility's power. With his military training, he gets past all of the security and finds the explosives to blow up the main power source to the building. He gets to it, however, a researcher finds him.
The researcher says, "Stop it! If you do that, all of the research we've done over the years would go to waste! The deaths of the people who have been sacrificed for our cause would be for nothing!"
"This is tainted research!" the veteran snaps back, "It's already been for nothing!"
"What about the people who are still alive?! I've given them immorality!"
"And I'm about to give a lot more people that."
The veteran blows up the facility along with everyone in it including himself.

Rejecting Weakness – Tale Five
Being a busy world where hard work equals big rewards, it's no wonder why someone like Nathaniel would work hard every day. He works as an electrician and as a result, he gets dirty, hurt, and tired beyond belief constantly. There are times that shortcuts present themselves to him, but he never takes them as they would lessen the quality of his work or disadvantage someone else so he stays fair so he, in turn, can also be treated fairly. Nathaniel doesn't have any relatives as they've all died of diseases and he doesn't have any friends so he lives his life alone wishing someone was there who could talk to him, care about him, and understand him. Alas, he doesn't know where to look and is too busy right now to think about it. As he works on repairing the electrical systems of a business building, there are a couple of things he could do so that the system will be good for a while, but he'll need to come back every couple months or so. The business does pay good money for him to do repairs since they trust the company he works. If he doesn't, it could be a while before he gets another good paycheck such as this one.
"Do it," a voice in his head says.
Nah, he thinks to himself. He fixes the electrical system the way he's supposed to and makes sure everything works as they should.
A month passes by and his loneliness takes its toll on him as he doesn't feel as good as he used to. He still keeps to his work ethic and does his jobs efficiently and properly. Nathaniel isn't able to get any real rest or any form of comfort though. It's been this way for a few years and he might be on the edge of breaking.
This next job involves fixing another electrical problem in the crawlspace of a house. As he looks through the crawlspace, he finds several valuable antiques that could be very valuable. The owner of the house didn't tell him anything about items being down here so they wouldn't know if he took anything.
"Do it," a voice in his head says.
No, Nathaniel thinks to himself. He takes the items and shows them to the owner of the house and it turns out that the items are valuable family heirlooms that the owner forgot they had. Nathaniel is thanked and given a good tip as a thank you. The owner plans on selling these antiques to give their family much needed financial relief and a small vacation.
Another month passes by and Nathaniel is getting a bit sick due to his decaying emotions. He still works as hard as always though working hard doesn't always reap any special rewards.
Today's job has him fixing a hospital building's electrical systems. They're paying him double since the electricity in this building is incredibly important in saving lives here and keeping them alive. There are things in this building's electrical systems that could allow him to make constant visits to fix it like the business building at the risk of the building's electricity going out for a short amount of time.
"Do it," a voice in his head says.
I can't do it, he thinks to himself.
"But why do the lives of the other people here matter to you? They don't know you so they won't be thankful that you helped their lives continue."
I don't do it for fame or fortune, Nathaniel thinks, I do it because I'm supposed to.
He does what he needs to and leaves the building to his car where he is destroyed by a criminal. He is beaten, and his wallet is taken away. A nearby police officer chases after the man and retrieves Nathaniel's wallet though the criminal gets away. Nathaniel is thankful though he wishes something good will happen to him later to repay him for today.
A month and a half pass by and Nathaniel gets sick from not much rest from his job and from his depression. The voice always seems to talk to him on every job and he keeps saying no to it though the offers from it get more and more enticing. Today's job goes over well and the voice doesn't talk to him. It seems like it's going to be a rare good day, but he's attacked by the criminal who jumped him before. Nathaniel lets out all of his pent-up anger out on the criminal and almost beats them up to death.
"Do it," the voice says, "He deserves to die. Take everything off his body and sell it to make your life better."
No! I'm not going to listen to you! Nathaniel thinks as he just sits on the criminal and calls for the cops to arrest him. He is given a cash reward for getting this criminal who has evaded arrest for a while. Even though Nathaniel has a good amount of money in his pocket now, this still doesn't solve his depression and loneliness. Sure, he can buy a prostitute or something like that, but that'll only last a day. He wants something that will like a lifetime. Someone who will be with him for the rest of his life. Lo and behold a woman walks up to him and talks about how brave he was for beating up that criminal and staying his hand to avoid killing him. She wants to know how he gets his strength and he tells her his story. The two eventually bond and get married a couple years after. Good things come to those who wait even if that wait can feel like a lifetime.

Only One Truth – Tale Six
Man heard the devil talk about things that made sense to them and they worshipped him. They sacrificed their lives and the lives of others to the deceiver's will while thinking that they're doing the right thing.
Man heard man talk about things that made sense to them and they worshipped them. What they can touch and see is everything to them. They decide what is right and wrong and have made gods out of man. They did this and spread their message thinking that they're right.
Man heard nature talk and they worshipped it. It didn't say much, but man gave it a voice and taught others about it thinking that they're right.
Man heard God talk and they worshipped Him. Some mixed up His words, some give it a different meaning, and others followed what He said the way He wanted. All groups teach others what they know and think that they're right.
All of these people think what they're doing is right, but only one is right while the others are completely wrong.

End Times – Tale Seven
A meteor is predicted to hit Earth today. One person goes about their day like always while another spends it like their last. The first do what they always do, they help others, do their best to work out mistakes in their personality, and change their life for the better. The second does everything they do to repair their image. Before they were lazy and selfish, but now they try to be better people. Though the end appears to be near, the people the second interacts with don't take too kindly to their charity but accepts the first's. Not wanting to be rejected, the second gives everything they can to make it up to the people they want to impress and they're now indifferent to them. The meteor is supposed to hit the Earth soon and the second person scraps together a suicide method to avoid the pain of the coming apocalypse. As for the first person, they stay with their family and friends and enjoy their time together. Because the Earth has several natural forces that protect it, the meteor burns up in the atmosphere and doesn't affect the Earth at all. The first person thanks God and goes about their day like always.
Now it's not to say other religious and non-religious people who were like these two, but you could say that most religious people were. They have a real reason to constantly give and improve themselves not only to please God but to make everything better around them for the salvation of others first and foremost and themselves last. What is the point of non-religious people helping the lives of others? They operate by their own standards. They give humanity their own value that is different from your everyone else's. They might sacrifice themselves for others, but that's because they were taught to do that from religious people who know that sacrificing your life is a show of true love and strength. The non-religious lack a fundamental reason to love and care for others. They have no reason to convert others to their shallow beliefs, therefore, they lack reason. That's not to say that all religious people will do the right things and to say that all religions have the right idea, but at least they have a piece of the truth. Make yourself gods if you wish by dictating what you think is the truth without a thought about what other people say or even what the one true God says. You'll just end up like the gods of old, forgotten and fake.
