There was a righteous rebel who
wanted to fight against a corrupt society. The rebel would go out every day in
the town square and preach the truth. They had crowds of people listening with bystanders
stopping or kept pieces of what they said in their thoughts. This rebel had the
right motivations and did the best they could in informing capable people in
what they should do, however, when their life was threatened, they changed
their message or took their message to a more secluded place for a time. The
rebel’s followers dwindled while few stayed loyal to them.
Once the rebel felt safe, they went
back to preaching the truth. Unfortunately for them, people stopped listening
to them after a while. The rebel was thought to be a coward and a fraud for
always shrinking when their way of life was threatened or taking the bribe and
selling out to the society they said they were fighting against. Eventually, actual
brave people with integrity rose up individually and through their sacrifice,
inspired others to rise up and overthrow the oppressive society and make it
into a better one.
The original rebel, who flipped and
flopped in their message, was nearly forgotten about. No one is sure whether the rebel was a man or a woman, but everyone knows about their cowardice.
On the other hand, everyone knows the names and deeds of those who died and gave
everything they had in changing the society they lived hand and are considered
to be saints.
