 Introduction
*The Voice speaks to themselves before they start the night.*
Let me introduce the players first before the game beings. First, we have Brett, a recent college graduate who was a real player with the ladies especially the crazy ones. Next up is Veronica, a girl from the same college as Brett who was popular because of her “talents” when relieving the stress off of fellow students. Dallas is the next lucky player from up north who specializes in horror-related media ranging from movies to video games. Last, but not least is Ellen, the serious type of girl who is great at thinking on her feet.
Wait. What is this? A new player by the name of Lauren has entered the scene. She’s new in town and she’s a really friendly person. Ever since she arrived, she’s made friends with all of the other players and loves to hang out and talk to them. Even though she likes being with people, she also likes to play with herself, whether it’d be single-player video games or things that should be kept private. Anyways, she held a big party today with all her friends. A party so big in fact that all of the friends, who live not too far from each other, got really exhausted because of all the fun they had including Lauren herself. Now they are all at home, sleeping and are ready to play the game or at least I think they are.”

Chapter 1 - The Voice Introduced
Voices - Wake up! Wake up!
*Lauren begins to open her eyes and awakens, sitting in a room with static TVs showing her friends on four out of ten of them. A tight and thick fiber wire string holds all of them in place by the neck forcing them to stay in their chairs with a desk in front of them with five letters and a phone with some sort of clay thing on it.*
The Voice - Good, you’re awake.
Brett - sighs Thank Good you’re awake. You were going to die if you didn’t wake up.
The Voice - We couldn’t have a player sleeping while the rest all the fun!
Lauren - What? What the hell is going on?
The Voice - You, my friends, are a part of my little game for my and only my entertainment!
Veronica - And what if we don’t play along?
The Voice - This wonderful chain of events!
*A montage of people being killed in various ways is shown on the extra TVs. Some are by gunshots, others by decapitation using various blades cutting different parts of the body.
Dallas - Oh shit.
Ellen - How could you have killed all those people?!
The Voice - Because I can and I make sure to clean up after myself. Now, let’s being with a tutorial. Yeah, I know it’s the least interesting part of the game, but bear with me here. I’ll ask you a question or to do something and you have to act appropriately. For example, Dallas who is the first to die in a horror movie?
Dallas - Uh, the black guy?
The Voice - Correct!
Veronica - But there isn’t a black guy here!
The Voice - Oh I’m sure I can accommodate us.
*One of the static TV screens shows a black guy walking down the street.
The Voice - Yo! *whistles* Hey, asshole!
The black guy -Who the fuck are you calling an asshole, bitch!
*He then gets shot in the nuts.*
The black guy - Ah! Damn it!
The Voice - Fuck! I missed, my bad.
*The guy then gets shot in the face. All five players react in disgust and start to fear for their lives.*
The Voice - Now, let’s play a game. Let us begin.
Lauren - Hey! You never told us what happens if we win!
The Voice - Oh, it’s simple. I let you go and you never hear from me again. So let’s start with the first letter on the far left of the table.
*A small light illuminates the table and everyone picks up the letter.*
Brett - What the hell? Is this a joke?
Veronica - Yeah! What’s going on? This letters basically says to make a prank call!
The Voice - Hey, I’m obviously a messed-up person and I need some calls to be made. Just do it, it’s simple.
*They all make a call in the order the letters say. The calls are all insults to certain people, but for some reason, they all say to go to a certain place and Lauren’s phone call doesn’t go through. A noise is then heard in the distance.*
Ellen - What was that?
The Voice - Nothing to worry about. I think some kids are causing fireworks. Now do you see? This is pretty simple stuff, isn’t it?
Veronica - Why do we have to do this? It’s so stupid!
The Voice - Hey! One more complaint from you and you’ll regret it. Now, let’s continue.

Chapter 2 – Questionable motives
The Voice - Open the next letter and do what it says.
*They open the letter and do as it says in the order they are supposed to. This time they act as investigators, psychiatrists, and police officers to several people and ask that they go to another location to meet some people.*
Dallas - Wait a second...I know that address. That place is a death trap in a bad part of town. Are we sending these people to their deaths?!
The Voice - No, no, no! Of course not! You can trust a person like me who traps people into a game of life and death can’t you?
Veronica - We’re fucking making these people die!
*She frantically tries to get out.*
Dallas - Yeah screw this!
*He tries to free himself as well.*
The Voice - Oh and how do you plan to get out?
Dallas - By using this!
*Dallas pulls out a pair of scissors from under him and cuts his strings.*
Dallas - Hold on Veronica! I’ll save you!
Ellen - Save us too you jackass!
Brett - Come on Dallas, really? You go for the prettiest girl first?
*Dallas runs outside to Veronica’s house.*
The Voice - Oh no! My evil plans have been foiled! Whatever shall I do?
Brett - Oh shit.
*Brett hears the sarcasm in the person’s voice.*
Brett - He’s going to fall into some sort of trap. Veronica, tell Dallas to watch out!
*Dallas rushes into the room and Veronica tries to warn Dallas about the hidden traps, but he doesn’t listen as he cuts Veronica’s string that activates a trap. Three huge sword-like objects stab out of the walls and impale both Veronica and Dallas.*
The remaining three - No!
Lauren - You fucking asshole! How could you?!
The Voice - Well that was interesting, wasn’t it? Now since we’re down to three players, I think we should spice this up a bit more.
*Wires shoot up and restrain Lauren even further by tying up her arms and legs.*
Brett - Lauren! Don’t you fucking hurt her!
The Voice - Don’t worry, she’s fine. You should be more worried about yourself.

Chapter 3 - A Tricky Situation
The Voice - Next letter is on the far right. Next verse, same as the first.
*Ellen and Brett open the message, which tells them to act as the person who is controlling everything.*
Brett - Wait, what the hell is this? We’re supposed to be you?!
The Voice - Of course! You can all now be your favorite and only sicko! At least I hope I’m the only one. I don’t know what sick fetishes you do by yourself or with others, except maybe Lauren.
Lauren - Shut up!
*Lauren’s mouth is covered by a mess of wires that come out of the wall.*
The Voice - No you shut up!
Ellen - Fuck this! I should’ve done the first thing I should’ve done when I got this phone.
*Ellen calls 911.*
The Voice - Wow! You’re legitly the first person to try to do that and I’ve got nothing that can stop you………just kidding! Beep!
*Ellen’s phone explodes and as a result, her head is blown up as well.*
Brett - No!
Brett tries to get out of his chair.
The Voice - You should’ve seen that coming. Now that we’re down to two players, I think we should get down to the final act.
*Brett is released from the chair.*
The Voice - This challenge involves you going through your house, that is full of traps, and escaping it to get to Lauren’s house to save her and then you’ll both win the game and I’ll forever leave you alone like I said. Deal?
Brett - Deal, but I’m coming after you after this is done.
The Voice - Oh! I’d like to see you’re to who I am IF you find me.
Brett - Bet on it, you fucking asshole.
*He exits the room he was stuck in and sees that his house is arranged in a linear fashion with the windows blocked and steel frames on the back of doors that doesn’t allow escape or straying from the instructed path. Brett follows the path to a door that makes a strange sound when he opens it. Being on edge, he jumps back as a pendulum with a sharp ax quickly comes toward him.*
The Voice - You know people always jump back instead if stepping to the side. Maybe next time I should put the ax on the reverse side, so it gets you from the back.
Brett - Oh shut the fuck up.
The Voice - Hey you should stop saying “fuck” all the time. This is the ninth time that word has been said tonight including this time.
*Brett ignores the voice as he continues through the house to the kitchen. In it, he finds a note saying, “Hi there! :D”. He looks around the room carefully waiting for the next trap, but nothing happens so he goes through the next door and almost gets blown up.*
Brett -Woah! What the hell?!
The Voice - There was an odorless-flammable gas in that room. You’re lucky that it takes a little while to ignite and that the rest of your house isn’t in ashes. Thanks to me of course!
*Brett exhales*
Brett - Whatever.
*Brett continues on. He is lead to his room where an unseen wire trips him onto his bed. He then hears a noise similar to the first trap and rolls away as a guillotine falls from the ceiling almost cutting him in half.*
The Voice - Oh damn, that was the last trap!
Brett - Ha! That’s right dickhead!  I made it through all of it!
The Voice - Good for you man, you win.
Brett - Yeah and after I get Lauren, I’m going to get you!
*Brett opens the window and runs towards Lauren’s house.*

Chapter 4 - The Twisted Twist
*Brett rushes through Lauren’s door and looks through the house to find Lauren while being wary of any traps. He eventually finds her in a room still alive.*
Lauren - Brett! You made it!
Brett - I wasn’t going to let you die. I like you too much.
*Brett frees her.*
Lauren - Aww, but we just met a few weeks ago.
Brett - I know, but I know that you’re better than most of the people I’ve lived with, so that’s good enough for me.
*Brett finally frees Lauren from her restraints.*
Lauren - That’s so sweet of you to say that to me because most people don’t like me.
Brett - And why’s that?
*Brett walks towards the door.*
Lauren - They don’t like playing my game.
*Brett freezes in place and time seems to have stopped for him as he begins to process what Lauren just said. He then turns around.*
Brett - What did you say?
*Lauren smiles.*
Lauren - My game. The one that you’ve enjoyed playing and won.
*Brett has a stunned expression on his face with no words coming out of his mouth. Spikes then come out of the floor that go through both of his feet. He screams out in pain and tries to get his feet out of the spikes, but can’t seem to manage it.*
Lauren - Boy do I hate awkward silences.
*Lauren gets a machete and points it at Brett.*
Brett - How? I-I mean why?
Lauren - I can answer both of those questions.
*She pulls up a chair to sit on.*
Lauren - How did I do this? I knock people out with anesthetics and wake them up when I need them to play with another needle. By then all the traps, camera, speakers, etc. are set up and the game is ready to begin. Sometimes I play in the game and sometimes I let others do the dirty work. Now-
Brett - But I saw you on the TV! How could you do some of those things strapped to the chair?
Lauren - I use footage of people who look like me when I need to do certain things. You wouldn’t notice the transition because of the staticy nature of the TVs. Oh yeah and one more interruption and I’ll activate a spike that goes through your balls. Now, as for the why. I do it because it’s fun. A psychopathic reason I know, but it’s the truth.
Brett - What are you going to do now?
Lauren - Probably continue what I do or get a quick job to pay for more traps. Oh, a vacation might be nice as well. What about you?
Brett - You know the usual, trying to get out of this trap… going to get my revenge for what you did you know.
Lauren - Yeah, no.
*Lauren cuts Brett’s head off.*
Lauren - That’s one cliché I don’t let happen. No revenge filled people, no people knowing what I did. It’s just me and my little game. My fun, sick little game.
*She walks outside the house.*
Lauren - What a mess. There’s so much to clean up. Luckily, I don’t have to.
*She holds out a detonator and uses it.*
Lauren - BOOM! MOTHERFUCKERS!
*She walks away. The explosions don’t happen so she presses it again and again and again.*
Lauren - Of all the things to not work!
*She throws the remote on the floor and stomps on it causing the explosion.*
Lauren - Hurry, cool pose! Cool pose!

Extras
After being spared
Survivor 1 - It’s been a month since we were part of some sicko’s game of life and death. We all got out of it alive and ok, well…mostly ok. All of those people who died in order to save our own lives have haunted us every day of our lives and we’ve been trying to fight back. We’re investigating each and every mysterious murder case that occurs and I think that we’ve finally found the killer. I’ve recently gotten a call to meet up with the rest of my friends to put all the pieces together to end this killer’s game. But what was strange was that we were all confused to see each other, until we got another call.
The Voice - Did you think that you could try and find me without me noticing? You guys aren’t the first to do this. Oh, you didn’t know that? There’s a reason.
Survivor 1 - We’ve been played and what was worse was is that we are going to die along with all the evidence we have. An explosive was hidden in the wall and blew up the floor that we were standing on and killed most of us and injured me. The building was on fire and there was nowhere for me to go. We were so close. Forgive us, people we have selfishly killed, forgive us.

Seeking help
Survivor 2 - I’m such a coward. Right after I evaded all the traps in my house to save a close friend of mine. I realized that I could just run to freedom and get help, so I did. As I was running away, I swear I could hear my friend’s screams of slowly being killed and when the police got to the house, it was on fire. Maybe I ran because I thought the other house was also rigged and the traps and events scarred me or maybe I selfishly thought my life was worth more than another’s. I don’t remember and I don’t want to.
I’ve been seeing a psychiatrist for the past month and things are starting to get better. The psychiatrist is really nice, pretty and understands my situation as she was in a similar game to mine, but kept it secret. She invited me to her house to talk about things and even though it’s in a weird part of town, I trust her enough to risk it and imagine my surprise when I see others there with the same experiences I’ve had. Some of them were the only ones to survive, while others survived together. I asked them why they were there and I got a variety of answers. A few were working with investigators to find the killer and others just experienced the events and were trying to forget it. Suddenly others came in with weapons and we asked them why they were here. They said they were hired so that they’re loved ones wouldn’t be hurt and that they were sorry. They attacked us and I’m one of the last ones left and I’m hiding in a safe spot. If I can get this note out I can redeem myself
*Someone kills the survivor and burns the note.*
Hired killer - I’m sorry kid.

Her personality
Lauren - I was always a weird girl and it wasn’t because of the way I was raised or the environment I existed in, it was the way I thought of things. Most famous people do that so I can never understand why people hate me so much. Maybe it’s because they’re jealous of my technical abilities, people I know, or just my beauty. My parents always saw people as numbers or things that could be manipulated to get what you want. They sorely regretted teaching me that after realizing how I interpreted that with them ending up in one of my little games.
Seeing things in different ways are critical in surviving in this world especially when it comes to what I do. Even though I’m going to be famous one day, I think I should try to prevent all of those people trying to make me famous or know of my fame, at least until I can find a place to settle down and do what I do with no worries at all with a nice husband by my side. Ah, I can imagine it now.

Behind the Scenes
  • This story is in script-like format since it’s more like a movie than a book.
  • Its main inspiration is the Saw movie franchise, which is fun, dumb movies that try to be more than they are in my opinion.
  • The pictures drawn are originally from when I drew them at least a year ago from publishing this book. My drawing style hasn’t really improved much when it comes to drawing people. Don’t believe me? Then compare these pictures to the cover picture which is newly drawn. Though I do have to say that I still draw other pictures well such as the cover of my story Man made gods and Choice and Consequence of Avoiding Punishment.
  • Most of the names of the main characters are taken from the movie Alien.
  • My theater teacher, Kirsten Quinn, looked over this story and had this to say with the sticky notes that she put on it when she gave it back to me. These are a few things she said.
o   “The images are a bit concerning. Really clarify the type of story you are telling here,” – cover image
o   “So am I getting a video game/horror movie vibe here. Is that right?” – Prologue
o   “Turn this into a script! There is a bit of SAW in here. Maybe rework a bit,” – Chapter 1
o   “I can definitely see the horror film taking shape here. The violence is extreme though. Are you okay? Just asking because sometimes bad dreams can create these types of images.” “This is definitely your most explicit story,” – Chapter 4
