Let's Live with No Regrets - (Song/Poem Attempt #75 from Love Against the World)

I've been stuck in this place for ages
I have so much, but so little
For acting on stages and putting on different faces

But you're here again to free me
And I'm taking the key
I cared so much and now I'm carefree

I'm never going back
Not when I'm on the attack
And I'm not cutting them any slack

I'm all in for you
You're my shining star, it's true
You have all my bets
Let's Live with No Regrets

You've waken me up
And now I see clearly
No more lies, no more makeup

It's all behind me now
I'm ready for all the challenges God will allow
I'm with you through it all, this I vow

I'm never going back
Not when I'm on the attack
And I'm not cutting them any slack

I'm all in for you
You're my shining star, it's true
You have all my bets
Let's Live with No Regrets

I'll with you through all the trials
Because you've shown me how to smile

I'm all in for you
You're my shining star, it's true
You have all my bets
Let's Live with No Regrets

When the Hard Times Arrive - (Song/Poem Attempt #74 from Love Against the World)

Now that I've lost everything
I'm holding onto you even tighter than before
We can't be broken if we're together
You are mine and I am forever yours

The worst is over
When all seems lost, I remember my reason to hope because

You're always with me and me with you
No matter what we go through
When the hard times arrive,
Our love thrives
Because we're always together

Our bond is what keeps us strong
My strength helps you and yours helps me
No matter the distance, our bond can't be broken
Together we can do the impossible, can't you see?

The worst is over
When all seems lost, I remember my reason to hope because

You're always with me and me with you
No matter what we go through
When the Hard Times Arrive,
Our love thrives
Because we're always together

Our hearts are always connected
We bear each other's pain
My life is resurrected
Because through the rain

You're always with me and me with you
No matter what we go through
When the Hard Times Arrive,
Our love thrives
Because we're always together

Charade of Vanity - (Song/Poem Attempt #73 from Love Against the World)

I see through this charade
You're lonely and afraid
Afraid of losing control
When you've already lost your soul

Forget what you've been told

Wreckage, tragedy
Lost in all this vanity
Worked to death, out of breath
Is it worth the wealth?

You've got a chance to be free
Will you stay a slave or take the key?

All the riches and dresses
All of life's obsessions
It comes and passes
It drugs the masses

Forget what you've been told

Wreckage, tragedy
Lost in all this vanity
Worked to death, out of breath
Is it worth the wealth?

You've got a chance to be free
Will you stay a slave or take the key?

I see through this charade
You're lonely and afraid

Forget what you've been told

Wreckage, tragedy
Lost in all this vanity
Worked to death, out of breath
Is it worth the wealth?

You've got a chance to be free
Will you stay a slave or take the key?

Demons pulling at your heart
God's giving you a restart
Which path will you take
When all you've known is fake?

Your dreams have been nightmares
The tool of millionaires
That don't have no cares
Except for their shares

You've got a chance to be free
Will you stay a slave or take the key?

The Giorno and Notte kingdoms have been at war for generations. Prince Rex and Princess Juno have killed each other in battle, but have been brought to life by an unknown person or group that has been secretly turning more people and animals into the undead for an unknown purpose.
Can these two work together to find out this purpose or will their hatred for each other be their undoing?

Revenge First, Love Later: Chapter 4 – Peace Through Love

Chapter 4 – Peace Through Love
“This is the worst,” Juno says as she struggles in the tight coffin.
“I know, but can you stop moving around on me? You’re making this more uncomfortable,” Rex says.
“Laying on top of you is uncomfortable. I’m trying to move over to the side, but there’s not enough space for me to move.”
“Just stop already!”
“My mom and my kingdom’s army is going to become undead if we don’t break out of here soon!”
“I know that, but we can’t break out of here with force.”
“I’m not falling in love with you.”
“I’m not asking for that. He said at least learn to like each other.”
“But if what he said was true about God wanting us to fall in love, then we’d have to eventually love each other. How would we even-” Rex pulls Juno’s face in and kisses her on the lips. She retaliates by pushing him off then headbutting him. “…I’m going to cut your head off when we get out of here.”
“It wouldn’t be the first time.”
“What were you thinking? I’m a corpse!”
“I was thinking that maybe I could trick the coffin into opening by showing it a sign of love. Why? What? What’s that look on your face?”
“What look?”
“You have a weird look and it’s starting to scare me. You didn’t like that kiss, did you?”
“…I-”
“I can’t believe you had to think about it.”
“S-shut up! I don’t know what’s going through my head and what I’m feeling right now, okay?! That wasn’t even a good kiss!”
“What do you know about good kisses? Have you kissed other men or been kissed by men other than your dad?”
“N-no.”
“Then I wouldn’t judge my kiss. I’m sure that you can’t even kiss good either.”
“I’ll show you a good ki-No! I’m not going to think about that! Agh! What made you comfortable enough to kiss me anyway?”
“I just thought about the good things about you. The few good things, I mean.”
“What good things?”
“You’re dedicated to God, the Church, your family, and your kingdom. You’re fierce, smart, and selfless. Fighting and arguing with you has made me realize that you’re not that bad of a person. In fact, you’re a lot like me, if you can believe it. What? You have that look in your face agai-” Juno kisses Rex much to both of their surprise. “…What…what did you do that for?”
“Because you can be really annoying, but you can be really brave, heroic, and rarely sweet. It’s just like you said. You’re a lot like me.”
The coffin slowly starts to open as Rex and Juno begin to acknowledge their newfound feelings for one another.
“Juno. Our kingdoms may have hated and killed each other for generations, but we have to put that aside. We have to go out there to save your kingdom from becoming undead and Nevar’s plan.”
“After that…can we see each other?”
“Yes, and here I thought you had enough of me.”
“I’m just starting to like you.”
“You kiss people you just start to like?”
“Shut up.”
Their coffin completely opens, and they exit from it. The sun is about to rise in the sky as the morning slowly arrives. Rex is about to take out his sword to deflect an attack from Juno that he expects to happen but is instead hugged.
“Hey, I thought you didn’t want to be this close to me. Weren’t you going to cut my head off?” Rex asks.
“Don’t disregard my affection! Keep talking like that and I will cut off your head!”
“Will you now? After what we just said to each other? Go ahead. It doesn’t matter if you do.”
Juno hesitates to take her sword out and instead walks through Rex and takes his hand.
“Stop messing around! We have to go save my kingdom!”
“And now you’re holding my hand?”
“Shut up!”
Rex and Juno make their way to the capital where a horde of the undead are approaching the capital’s walls. Among the undead are war animals and dead soldiers from both kingdoms. Nevar leads the army from the front with his sympathizers, who are now undead, by his side.
“How are we going to get passed this army?” Juno asks.
“We go through them. Our combined strength should be enough to do this.”
“It helped us beat a single bear and elephant. I’m not sure if it can help us with this huge horde.”
“Do you trust me?”
“I’m just starting to.”
“Do you trust me?”
“I do.”
“Then let’s do this.”
Juno and Rex cut themselves up and combine into a singular body. They charge through the horde of the undead while the archers from the Notte kingdom launch their arrows into the horde. Juno and Rex use a bear as a shield to block the arrows then through the animal to help clear the way. At the capital’s walls, the archers and watchers are in disbelief at seeing Juno and Rex in a singular body going through the horde. The strength of the two is enough to help them break through the horde, however, they are knocked apart by two elephants. Rex and Juno put themselves together into their original bodies as they charge to where Nevar is. Both are unaware they are too far away from each other to stay together. That is until Nevar notices and stops his undead horde’s advance.
“Rex. Juno,” Nevar says with amazement.
“You better give up now, Raven!” Juno says.
“We aren’t going to let you turn everyone undead!” Rex says.
“You’re correct. I no longer have a reason to.” Rex and Juno are surprised by Nevar’s response but stay on guard. “You two don’t notice it, but you are too far apart from each other to stay in one piece. Being together in that coffin must’ve finally formed a bond between you two that I’ve been waiting for! Now, the kingdoms will finally cease their endless war with one another!”
Nevar releases the souls of the undead from their bodies as his army turns to dust while the people who were undead return to normal, which includes Rex and Juno. Amazed by the restoration of their normal bodies, they go to embrace each other before they kiss. Everyone watching from the Notte kingdom is stunned while Nevar couldn’t be happier. Nevar and his supporters are taken into custody while Juno and Rex convince their ruling parents to approve of the marriage. What convinces them is the return of their lost lover who they thought was dead.
A marriage ceremony happens a week later with both kingdoms and families uniting on the spot. Even though Nevar isn’t allowed to attend, he is content knowing that he had a hand in making this possible, despite it being primarily God’s hand making good out of his evil. While the celebration is happening, Juno and Rex sit at their table chatting.
“Isn’t this amazing, Rex? I couldn’t imagine anything like this happening a week ago.”
“Me neither. I thought we would’ve been stuck together in that coffin for weeks. It would’ve been Hell.”
“Yea-what?”
“What? It was back when I didn’t like you.”
“But that was also when we fell in love with each other.”
“Oh yeah. Should’ve probably focused on that.”
“Tch. Don’t give me a reason to put you on your butt during our wedding.”
“As if you could.”
“I cut off your head more than once!”
“But I’m still here, aren’t I?”
“That’s it. Let’s go outside to see once and for all who would win a sword fight.”
“I’m game.”
Rex and Juno sneak out with their swords and fight outside where no one should see them. They sword fight with each other until they reach a draw with their sword to their necks.
“Retry,” Juno says.
“I clearly got to your neck before you did,” Rex points out.
“If you did, then you can do it again.”
They fight again only to come out with the same result.
“Let’s go again,” Juno says.
“You know I won, right?”
“This time I know for sure that I got to your neck first. Go again.”
During this next attempt, Rex manages to sweep Juno off her feet and kiss her.
“…okay, you win,” Juno admits.
“Yes!”
“This time.”
“I’m ready to go again any time you want.”
“What are you kids doing?” Rex’s mom asks.
Rex’s and Juno’s parents were watching the fight while placing bets on their child winning.
“You know, just playing around,” Rex answers.
The family laughs together before Rex and Juno go back to the party. With their marriage, Rex and Juno have united both kingdoms and end the seemingly endless war between them. During the war, they thought it was going to end with their side taking their revenge on the other. What they didn’t expect was that love was going to end the war.

Revenge First, Love Later: Chapter 3 – Two Against Two

Chapter 3 – Two Against Two
“I’m telling you that our animals are superior to yours,” Juno continues to argue.
“And I’ve been telling you that what you’re saying doesn’t matter,” Rex again rebukes, “Wolves and bears have nothing on our elephants and lions.”
“My victories can invalidate that.”
“But have to seen them in a two on two fight before? I have. Elephants are the best since they can beat almost anything.”
“Anything except our animals.”
Rustling in the grass and loud stomping sounds cease their arguing as they look around to see what is making the noise.
“Are there any wolves and bears in this area?” Rex asks.
“There might be bears, but no wolf or bear I know of makes stomping sounds like that,” Juno says.
The sounds get closer and closer until a large elephant and bear barrels towards them while knocking down all the trees around them. They dodge out of the way to and see that the animals are undead with armor from their respective kingdoms.
“Whoever is behind this must really want us not to find out who they are.”
“How are we even going to beat them?”
The elephant goes after Rex while the bear goes after Juno. As the two are slowly separated, their limbs start to fall off their body, so they try to come back together, but the animals don’t allow it. Once they are in pieces, the animals swipe them away and go back from where they came from. Rex and Juno get closer as they put themselves together.
“What should we do? They already know our biggest weakness,” Juno says.
“I hate to say it, but we have to work together. It’s the only thing we can do.”
“I will help us get through this, but I won’t follow your every order if I think you’re going to do something wrong.”
“No, don’t. That’s probably what they’re hoping we do so they can separate us. We have to act in unison and stick close to one another.”
“Even if we do that, we can’t kill those beasts with our swords.”
“I don’t think we have to. They stopped pursuing us, so there must be a point at which they’ll stop chasing us. Let’s hope they won’t approach a town. Are there any near here?”
“The closest place is the capital and we still have quite a long way to go.”
“I don’t think they would be bold to let the undead into the capital, but we have to try to get passed them together. Are you ready?”
“What do I have to lose?”
Rex and Juno face the bear and elephant again. They focus on fighting the bear and cripple it by taking out its legs. As the bear recovers, they go after the elephant and take out one of its legs.
“Come on, Juno! Let’s go while they’re putting themselves back together!”
Rex and Juno run as fast as they can in the direction that the elephant and bear came from as the undead animals have recovered. The undead animals charge at the two at full speed and are about to run them down. Seeing the incoming threat, Rex tackles Juno out of the way so that their attack misses them. Both Rex and Juno refuse to acknowledge him saving her, so they continue running as the undead circle around to them. The two keep running until they reach a gravesite with graves that have been dug up.
“Who could’ve done this?” Rex asks.
“I’m really starting to think that someone in your kingdom did this,” Juno says.
“Why’s that? You know that after every battle both sides gather the dead and send them back to their respective kingdoms. We would never do anything so horrible.”
The elephant and bear quickly catch up to Rex and Juno. Juno takes Rex’s hand and pulls him away from the graves.
“Come on! We have to get out of here,” Juno says.
Rex sees Juno’s determination to protect the graves of the dead and goes along with her. The elephant and bear ignore the graves and chase after the two as they try to cut them off. Rex and Juno try to fight one at a time again, but the two undead animals make sure to protect one another. The elephant manages to grab Juno and throw her away. Rex chases after Juno so they don’t fall apart. He catches her as she falls out of the sky. Again, both don’t acknowledge Rex’s saving action.
“This isn’t going well,” Juno says.
“I’m open to whatever suggestions you have.”
The bear and elephant charge into them and knock them in the same direction with their body parts flying away. They put themselves together quickly, but they put themselves together with each other, so their bodies are combined.
“This is bad,” Juno says.
“Yeah, but we can take advantage of it.”
“How?”
“We have double the strength and both of our swords. Let’s do the same thing they did to us and cut them apart.”
“It’s worth a shot.”
“Go after the bear first!”
Rex and Juno charge at the bear and cut off its legs and head then immediately go for the elephant. While attacking, they mix the bear’s body parts with the elephant’s so they’re unable to move. The bear’s head goes where the elephant’s foot is and the elephant’s trunk goes where the bear’s head is, and before they know it, Juno and Rex have crippled the animals by making the undead animals combine their bodies in a way that makes them unable to move at all.
“Good job, Juno!”
“Thank you. We couldn’t have done this without each other’s help. Uh, can we separate now?”
“Oh, of course.”
Rex and Juno cut themselves apart so they can properly put themselves back together. Juno goes back to the graves, kneels, and prays for them. Rex does the same to her surprise. The two then clean up the graves as best and as quickly as they can. While they’re cleaning things up, a hooded man approaches them. They cloak their heads to hide their identity from him.
“What happened here?” the man asks.
“Wild animals, sir. We’re cleaning up the damage they did,” Rex says.
“That’s very kind of you, especially since you’re from a different kingdom.”
“You know who I am?”
“Who wouldn’t recognize a prince such as yourself?”
“Who are you?”
“Don’t you recognize me?”
The man takes off his hood to reveal his identity to the surprise of Rex and Juno.
“Mr. Nevar? What are you doing all the way out here?”
“What are you talking about, Rex?” Juno asks, “That’s Raven, the advisor to the queen.”
“What are you talking about? It’s Nevar, the advisor to the king.”
“I can clearly see who it is and there’s no way I can be mistaken.”
“Same with me.”
“Dang it, who are you really?” Rex says to the man.
“I am who you both say I am. The reason why you see me as two different people is because I placed a spell on myself that makes me look and sound like two different people. The people from Giorno see me as Nevar while the people from Notte see me as Raven. I am sorry for the deception, but you must know that I did it with the best of intentions.”
“What are you talking about? Explain yourself.”
“Your parents and I had very different ideas on how to bring peace to your kingdoms. First, we tried to convince the rulers and their advisors of peace talks, but they didn’t want to hear it. I came up with my own plan that I knew they wouldn’t approve of, so I had to make sure that they wouldn’t interfere with it.”
“You were the one who is behind their assassination attempts?!” Juno asks.
“They weren’t assassination attempts. I scared them off with my undead soldiers and made sure they were on the run. My plan is to make both kingdoms undead so that the endless war will stop. There won’t be any more killing or struggles if no one is capable of dying.”
“What? God and the Church would never approve of this.”
“Are you sure about that? My sympathizers have tested releasing prayers and some of the undead stay in their bodies. I’ve even seen through the eyes of my undead that the prayer doesn’t work on you.”
“Do you mean to control both kingdoms and erase our free will?”
“You’re in control of yourself and a few others are. I don’t want to control people’s lives. I just want to push them in the right direction.”
“Why did you bring us back to life?” Rex asks.
“Because I’ve gained Divine Knowledge and this knowledge has led me to the revelation that God wants both kingdoms to unify under love.”
“Of course God would want that. That’s not special to learn.”
“No, you misunderstand me. He wants the kingdoms to unify under the love between you two.”
“What?!” Rex and Juno say in unison.
“Two lovers from two kingdoms that hate each other is something told of in legends. It’s a miracle only God can make happen.”
“But we killed each other! What makes you think we were going to fall in love?!” Juno says.
“Because God wills it. Even if I didn’t bring you back, you would’ve come back anyway. Besides, you and so many others should be thanking me for bringing them back. The hatred and bloodlust that the kingdoms have for each other are enough to send their entire population to Hell. I came here to save people from their hatred and war. I’ll be going back to the castle to advise the queen that an attack has happened here so that she and her armies will become undead.”
“Do you really think we’re going to let you do that? We may be undead, but you’ll die if we cut your head off,” Rex says as both he and Juno point their swords at Nevar.
“Yes, I do.” Nevar moves his hands to control Juno’s and Rex’s body to make them go into a coffin. “You will stay in here until you at least learn to like each other. That is the only way this coffin will break open unless you want to wait for your other parents to find you, but by then, the Notte kingdom will be undead. I do hope you learn to love each other soon.”
The coffin closes on Rex and Juno as they’re now stuck in a cramped coffin just as they were when they came back to life.

Done with the World - (Song/Poem Attempt #72 from Love Against the World)

The world is empty
All its riches mean nothing
It pretends to love to get its way
Its comforts are only lies

That is why I reach out to love
To the love I feel in you
I know what it's like to feel empty
I know what it's like to believe a lie

And that's never going to be me again

Because I'm Done with the World
Because I'm here with you
I'm letting go of all I was to embrace all of you

They can say that I've lost my mind
But I've gained more than they can imagine
Wealth and power mean nothing to me anymore
Not when I have you

Because I'm done, Done with the World

I believe truth and love are invaluable
Giving to others is a reward itself
To love you is the greatest thing to happen to me
I used to put a price on everything

And that's never going to be me again

Because I'm Done with the World
Because I'm here with you
I'm letting go of all I was to embrace all of you

They can say that I've lost my mind
But I've gained more than they can imagine
Wealth and power mean nothing to me anymore
Not when I have you

Because I'm done, Done with the World

I breathe as my life is made new and
I let go of everything that was holding me back
I'm never going to love empty beliefs and false truths

Because the light in my heart has guided me to you
And I'm never going to let you go

Because I'm Done with the World
Because I'm here with you
I'm letting go of all I was to embrace all of you

They can say that I've lost my mind
But I've gained more than they can imagine
Wealth and power mean nothing to me anymore
Not when I have you

Because I'm done, Done with the World
