Government and Man-made gods

There's a saying that goes something like this; "Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely". It is no surprise that governments all over the world have corruption within them. When you run a country or even have influence in it, you get a rush of energy and pride knowing that you can change the lives of the people they're supposed to help. I'll be showing you symbols from my book Blood, Honor, and Time as an example.

The symbol on the left is for the Socia Agmina, the central government. The symbol on the right is the symbol of God. Both have triangular shapes and look similar. This is to get this particular theme across. The government can arrest you or even kill you if you break their laws. It doesn't matter if what you did was right because they can still punish you. Not to mention that there are people with connections that can do evil and illegal acts and get away with it. People in government can change the laws of the nations and act on them, so long as they convince people and have the right numbers and power. Some governments try to orient themselves towards God or goodness as a whole like the Socia Agmina. This government was formed by a Fedele, a clan full of people faithful to God, and yet, corruption still filled its ranks because of the nature of power.
People will use the government to enforce what they think is right and wrong. This is what dictators do to play god and live a comfortable life while others suffer. They force their citizens to believe what they want or else they will be jailed or killed. This is why we should have a government strong enough to enforce morally good laws while also allowing the freedom of ideas and change in the government. We shouldn't treat the government or other people as gods who dictate morality because they are human like us. Let God be God and humans be humans.
If you're telling me to take my religion out of politics, then you know nothing about religion. Your beliefs about God dictate how you see the world and what's right and wrong, so you practice your religion daily whether you know it or not. Every action has a degree of good and evil within it, so don't go thinking that religion means nothing.

I hope that this blog post has informed you or at least makes you think about certain things you've never known.
