This is a short story about one of the things I was looking at in class. It was a short movie about a black crossing dressing fashion show and how they spread throughout the country. The movie was set in the mid 80s I think until the early 90s and also had a small interview with Prince who knew about this small group of people. These gay men, for lack of a better word since that's what they are, want fame and fortune just like the female models they idolize. The problem is that they're aiming for a crowd of people that consist of straight men and women who want to be like the models so they unfortunately won't attract that audience, but they try anyways and only get people who think like them so at least they have a small audience. People in the class argued that these crossdressers should get mainstream attention and I brought up the fact I just said. They then looked at me like I was some asshole for telling the unfortunate truth.
The SJW part of it was the black men blaming "white" American culture for not giving them fame like their models such as Marilyn Monroe and that people should just accept them without asking questions. It's funny how they said that while only having one white crossdresser they focus on who is revealed to have been killed because he tricked men to take him out on expensive dates. They also seemed to want to force their way of thinking on other people and hated others who disagreed with them. These people also had a rough childhood from what I remember which adds to my theory that being gay is a social condition that is learned and not natural. I say that this is an early start to SJW culture because this is a group of people who act in a similar way to SJWs who want to enforce their way of living and thinking because they feel it's the right way. The culture itself seems to have emerged from old race relations in the past from people who can't let go of it.
I took this class last semester and I can definitely say that it was full of SJW type kids and yes I'm saying kids because the SJW mindset is incredibly child-like and so is the entire liberal/left mindset while I'm talking about it. Short answer why: because they want to put too many restrictions on people (block free speech, forced diversity, lack of religious freedom) and too much freedom at the same time (letting in illegals, making college "free", "good" healthcare). My loud mouth about my views was probably also the reason I failed the class, which was weird because I was getting Ds on papers (for some reason) and I came out with an F.
In conclusion, I hope you find this a bit interesting. Thanks for listening!
