Friday the 13th The Game or Dead by Daylight?

Both games inspired by classic slasher movies. Both are great games. But which is the better one? After recently playing both of them, I am going to be listing the positives of both games to give you an idea of which you should get first. Whatever isn't a shared positive, is a negative for the other.

Friday the 13th The Game

  • Each Jason is similar but different enough so each works better in different situations. They also have their own distinct look and chase music.
  • The counselors all have their own stats which makes each one different from one another. There are also a decent amount of clothing options with more coming out.
  • Looks decent, but the Friday the 13th scenery picks that up for it.
  • The kills Jason do are animated well.
  • Not only more ways to hide and escape from the killer, but you can fight back.
  • Glitches and ragdoll can lead to unintentionally funny moments.
  • Tons of abilities to catch the counselors.
  • Perks that the counselors have to roll for are incredibly useful if you get them.
  • The makers of the game obviously wanted to make this game good since it appears that they loved the movies.
  • Free DLC along with cheap cosmetic DLC.
  • Music is taken straight from the movies.
  • If you can find the right lobby or the right friends, then you won't need to wait long between matches.

Dead by Daylight
  • Looks really good for an indie game.
  • You can choose if you want to be a survivor or a killer.
  • Customizable killers.
  • Every killer is distinct in both background story play style.
  • You can play as Leatherface, Freddy Kreuger, Michael Myers, and two other characters who are essentially variations on Leatherface (but distinct). The nurse also looks like the nurses from Silent Hill 2 which is also cool.
  • Good music for everything. I especially like the music for the cameo characters like Michael Myers.
  • The odd background story that I wish will get a little more attention.
  • Incredibly stable matches and doesn't have many glitches.
  • Killers are good at catching up to survivors which forces the survivors to think smart to outmaneuver the killers.
  • Tense chases and hiding gameplay as survivors.
  • The love for the slasher/horror genre is apparent.
  • DLC is appropriately priced.
  • Leveling up perks that help you in the game, but don't break it.
  • There's very little wait time to find random people to play with especially if you play as a survivor.
Both games are incredible in my opinion. You'll have a great time with either choice.

New Books That I'm Writing

I've already written my autobiography sort of book that's going to be the last Society's Monster and Choice and Consequence story. I'll probably have the unedited version of it on this blog for free sometime in December as a Christmas gift for my small fan base. The other two and spin-off Choice and Consequence stories will be published before the payed/edited version gets released.
Right now, I'm writing a Fallout inspired book called Gone Nuclear: A Story About an Everyday Survivor (title still being decided). This book will probably be the next book I'll release next and I'm honestly excited about it since I like how it's turning out. You can definitely see the inspiration from the video games in it while its differences stand out or at least I think so. I'll have a sample of the first couple chapters on this blog later when it's finished.
Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great day!

Resident Evil Games and Movies short review

*Not done in chronological order*

RE0 - 3.5/5
A nice little prequel with a gameplay style that's unlike anything you've ever played before. You basically play single player co-op with a decent AI partner

RE1
PS1 - 3.5/5
Though the controls and voice acting haven't aged well with time, it's a good horror game that was one of the games that put horror games in the mainstream view.
ReMake - 4/5
A better game that way more atmospheric and scarier than the original. Since it came out again on PS4 and Xbox One, you should definitely give it a try or buy it again if you want to play it again.

RE2 - 4/5
The game that people have been wanting a ReMake for, for a while. It's no wonder why because of the leaps of quality that's been made from the original.

RE3 - 4/5
This game is in a similar situation to Silent Hill where people will disagree on which is the best. It's also a bit of a coincidence that both 3s are more connected to the both 1s than both 2s. Nemesis is also very much like Pyramid Head with both following the main character and both very memorable enemies.

RE Code Veronica - 4/5
The next step up for the series with a moving camera and better controls and graphics. It's an upgrade to the series while giving us a good story and horror action.

RE4 - 4/5
What a lot of people say is the best RE game and/or even the best game of all time. It's more action-oriented and campy than the others at the cost of not being as tense/scary, but it's well made.

RE5 - 4/5
Another set towards a more action-oriented game and people didn't like that much. It's not as good as RE4 because of this, but it's still a good game in my opinion.

RE6 - 3.5/5
Jumping the shark isn't even a good phrase to use for this game. Sure the combat is better, but its horror roots constrict it. For some reason, I bought this game twice though to my credit, I bought the PS3 version for $7 and the PS4 for $20. You should only buy this game for these cheap prices.

RE7 - 5/5
The newest and best of the series. It has an atmosphere, graphics, controls, and gameplay superior than every other RE game on this list. Get it now!

RE Revelations - 4.5/5
An awesome call back to previous RE games of old while keeping what people liked about RE4. That's honestly it in a nutshell and it's better than RE4 in my opinion. If that doesn't tell you what you need to know, than I don't know what will.
Revelations 2 - 4.5/5
An improved version of the first with an improved RE0-like co-op system but better since the partner is mostly invincible. With the return of Claire and Barry, this is one for the fans while the enhanced gameplay and lore references make it welcoming to newcomers.

Spin-offs
RE Outbreak - 3.5/5
A decent RE game with a co-op feature. If you played this online like I did, then the partners will just act as shield, carry donkeys, and/or bait. Despite the rating, I recommend this more than RE6.
Outbreak File 2 - 3.5/5
I honestly can't tell and/or remember the difference between this one and the last. It might be slightly better, but it's good if you wanted more of the first one.

Umbrella Chronicles - 4.5/5
An arcade shooter that allows you to play the older games and introduces never before seen lore. It's on par with the great House of the Dead series and other awesome arcade shooters.
Darkside Chronicles - 5/5
A step up from the first with more stories and tighter gameplay. This is a way better game especially if you like the older games presented in this game more than the previous one.

Mercenaries 3D - 3.5/5
Just take the mercenaries mode from RE5 and put it on a handheld. That's it honestly.

Operation Raccoon City - 3/5
An average game that people hate. I can see why because of its glitches, wasted potential, and unexciting gameplay, but to me, it's average.

Movies
Life action - 3/5
Movies that take more of the action of the series than the horror. They tell a different story than the games and just use them as a inspiration for its plot. They're just popcorn action movie and nothing more.

CG - 4/5
Movies that take inspiration from RE4 and RE Revelations. If you like those games, you'll like these movies.

Silent Hill Games, Movies, and Books short review

Silent Hill - 4/5
The one to start it all. A great horror game that separated itself from Resident Evil by being psychological. The mood and atmosphere hold up to this day, but the controls are a bit slippery. I can't complain about the graphics since it's an old PS1 game so it's still an awesome classic game that will last throughout the ages.

2 - 4.5/5
The one that got Silent Hill more attention. Most consider this one to be the best and I have to agree on some level. It's story, gameplay, morals, and graphics still give me the same feeling they did when I first played it. If you haven't played it yet, then do it.

3 - 4.5/5
The actual sequel to the first. I'm not sure if this one is better than the second so I can't decide which is the best in the series. Like its predecessor, all of its quality is still great to go through whether if you played this game multiple times already or if it's your first time.

4 The Room - 3.5/5
The one that has people split. Sure it's made with the same quality as the rest. Sure the new and improved combat system is good. Sure the room gameplay gimmick is interesting and sort of fun. But the main problem with this game is the stupid inventory system and escorting Eileen is the worst thing ever. It makes the game so tiring and tedious to play. It's a shame because the rest of the game is great, but the inventory and Eileen have dissuaded me from playing the game more than once.

Origins - 4/5
A return to the series from a different developer. This one is more like 1 and 2 combined than 3 or 4. Some people call this game mediocre or average, but I love it. The only problem is that it does rehash some of the older parts of the series as fan series, which I totally fall for.

Homecoming - 3.5/5
Some people call this the worst in the series, but I have no idea what they're talking about. The combat, story, and atmosphere are all top notch. The biggest problem with the game are the glitches and that it sometimes crashes (PS3 version). The game also takes hints and style from the first movie, but it doesn't bother me that much. True be told, I'd rather play this a couple more times than go back to 4.

Shattered Memories - 4/5
A remake of the first one and a good one at that. It tells a similar story while changing enough to make playing it worth it. The choices determine how your monsters look and even scenery and character looks and personalities. Though the game is short, it's great to play on the go (PSP version) or just something to play to pass time.

Downpour - 4/5
Another Silent Hill game that people don't like for some reason. It combines the best of 2, 3, origins and Homecoming and adds in an open world, tons of endings, and a new perspective that's exciting to explore. Though it still has the glitches from homecoming, it's still a great game I recommend that you play.

Book of Memories - 3.5/5
Diablo mixed with Silent Hill. It's a decent dungeon crawler with good character customization, fan service, and lot of endings. The biggest issue? There's a particular floor trap that brings you down to 1 HP. Now this can also work on enemies, but you'll definitely step on this trap at least 10 times. The game also gets needless difficult in my opinion if you mess up a couple times, but you can level grind the previous levels if you wish to get better weapons, equipment, and health upgrades. Since it's only for the Vita, I doubt many of you will play this game, but I still recommend it.

Movies
Silent Hill - 4/5
A movie that takes inspiration from the 1st and 2nd game to make a movie that both newcomers and game fans will love. It does deviate from the game story a bit in the form of Alessa who has more power than she should have, but it's fine since it's separated from them/

Revelation - 4/5
More of the same except this one is basically a different version of the third game. This movie gets a lot of hate and I can see why in some areas when I watch it, but the little easter eggs that reference parts of the series just gets to me. The plot also makes sense in my opinion and I highly recommend getting both at the same time since this happens directly after the first ends.

Comics
Omnibus 1 - 2.5/5
This collects the original comics made for Silent Hill. It follows the movies more than the games and tells a tale that separates it from both the games and movies. I didn't like this first collection since the new lore that they put in didn't make too much sense and separated itself too much from the series it's based on.

Omnibus 2 - 4.5/5
Now we're talking. This collections contains multiple stories that follow the games more than the movies. Past lives tells a needed story in Silent Hill's past. Sinner's reward tells the best kind of tale that comes out of Silent Hill which is that of a murderer. Anne's story tells the side story of what happened to Anne in Downpour. The only problem with this is some of the unoriginality of the monsters in everything other than Past Life, but I still love this collection.

Book
Betrayal - 4/5
A book clearly inspired by the books and makes great work of the source. Besides basically being a good Silent Hill story, it also has multiple endings in the back (Extended version) which is a great finishing touch.

A Nightmare on Elm Street Movies short review

A Nightmare on Elm Street - 4.5/5
The one that started it all. It has a creative premise, unique and memorable killer, and great final girl. The ending feels kind of weird though as it's left up to if there wasn't a sequel or not if Freddy won or lost or something else. It was pretty confusing.

Freddy's Revenge - 3/5
Lore breaks everywhere as Freddy tries to move into the real world. It has some good ideas as the main character's body is taken over by Freddy, but is then saved by his girlfriend's kiss.

Dream Warriors - 4/5
A great sequel to the first that enhances the lore to the first. The film allows for more than a few competent characters while Freddy is still his scary/funny self.

Dream Master - 3/5
Definitely an alright movie to watch and when the series started to really go down hill. It does still have good moments like the ending where Freddy's past kills tear him apart from the inside and some of its goofy Freddy moments.

Dream Child - 2/5
Even though the idea of Freddy being reborn through someone else's child sounds interesting, it doesn't work in this film. I was honestly so tired of watching this films by this point that I barely remember anything from this film.

Final Nightmare - 3/5
This movie is at its best when it doesn't take itself seriously and is just in full cartoon mode. It's weird to say that because that's not what Freddy is, but I can't help but enjoy myself when it tries to be funny and gets me laughing. When it's serious, it's boring and not interesting.

New Nightmare - 4/5
I can't lie when I say that I don't like part of this movie for being too meta, but I also can't say I didn't enjoy the fan service this movie gives. This whole meta thing is the film's whole point and it just uses the Elm street franchise to show its meta nature.

2010 - 3/5
The weakest of Michael Bay studio's horror movie remakes, but still decent. It's way more serious than the others with the new person who plays Freddy giving a more terrifying performance rather than a comedic/horrifying feel that classic Freddy gives. Also the big twist of the film is that the killer is a killer and he wasn't misunderstood. I can see where they were going with this but it's not good in execution.

Recommended:
1st
Dream Warriors
New Nightmare

A lot of people like this slasher franchise more than the others, but I find it to be above average. It's definitely better than the Halloween series that's for sure.

Saw Movies and Games short review

Saw - 4/5
A good film that was made on a small budget. I love the tension and mystery surrounding the story. This small film starts the craze for this gory and plot twisty series.

2 - 4/5
A nice sequel that adds onto the lore of the original story and gives us more of what we liked from the original.

3 - 3.5/5
A decent Saw movie that probably should've ended the series. I would've preferred less moral characters that needed to change rather than tragic ones, but this is fine as well.

4 - 3.5/5
A decent movie with its twist and turns. It's obvious that they were running out of ideas by now and just needed excuses to keep the films going.

5 - 4/5
A better movie than the last one, but they all meld together in your mind by this point.

6 - 3.5/5
A film that tries to be anti-corporate and continue its gray morality villain but doesn't really work in my opinion. The series just keeps going on at this point and gives its audience more of the same but slightly different.

3D - 3.5/5
Besides the great bro moment in the opening, there's not much to this "final" chapter. It tries to clear up all the questions during the series, but leaves a few unanswered and not even in the way where we can guess an answer.

The Game - 4/5
Even though this is published by Konami, it isn't made by the same people who made Silent Hill unfortunately, but it does give that vibe. Even though I do hate the circuit puzzles, the rest of them are interesting to do and the story is decent. I even heard somewhere that it's canon.

Flesh and Blood - 3.5/5
A lesser quality sequel that makes combat simpler and boring but it being a quick time event. The circuit puzzles are improved though I would've liked them to not be in the game. What's weird is that the game is less dark so it's less scary than the first.

Recommended:
Most of them honestly since they're fun to watch to pass time if you don't mind the gore. The series reminds me of the Friday the 13th movies with how many they are, but these movies are less memorable. Also get the first game if you can. You don't need to get the second game if you want.

Halloween Movies short review

Halloween - 4/5
Definitely one of the most memorable slasher films of all time. I like the setup of the killer as a normal kid who's born evil and kills his family. It gives the impression that anyone you meet could be this killer.

Part 2 - 4.5/5
A good natural continuation of the first movie. Though it takes a little while to get to the real action, it's worth it for the satisfying ending.

Season of the Witch - 2.5/5
An average horror movie with the Halloween name stapled to it. I heard that it's literally involved with the Halloween series because of this reason. This movie is more akin to a below average episode of book of Goosebumps than what was a great slasher series.

The Return of Michael Myers - 2.5/5
Even though I complained about Myers not being in the third entry, the series just should've ended with two entries. It's an ok-ish movie with the only interesting thing being the ending.

The Revenge of Michael Myers - 2.5/5
The most disappointing part of this movie is that it doesn't take advantage of the twist ending and just the same thing the previous film did more or less.

The Curse of Michael Myers - 2/5
An over complicated movie plot mixed with an average movie. Quite the unmemorable movie.

20 Years Later - 4/5
A better sequel to Halloween 2 than the other ones especially since you don't need to have watched the previous four. It follows a similar quality to the 2nd one and has a satisfying ending to boot.

Resurrection - 2.5/5
With Myers' popularity literally being cashed in, this movie tries to be self aware and funny like Friday the 13th Part 6, but fails. The only funny part is where Busta Rhymes kung fu kicks Michael.

2007 - 2.5/5
Just rehashes the first movie while making the main character more bitchy and Myers a more stereotypical killer. He's shown as being more sympathetic, but it doesn't work out especially since he kills a nice Danny Trejo. The remake honestly should've been given to Michael Bay's studio.

2009 - 2/5
More original than the previous, but also makes the main character more unlikable. You root for Michael for most of the film while the main character becomes more and more ugly personality wise. The psychic connection between them is interesting, but that's about it.

Recommended movies:
1
2
20 years later

The Halloween franchise isn't that entertaining in my opinion and the only good ones star Jamie Lee Curtis.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre Movies short review

Texas Chainsaw Massacre - 5/5
One of the best movies ever made and the best slasher movie in my opinion. Since it was made on a low budget, most of the props and scenery is real. The final girl was even cut for real during the dinner scene, at least that's what I heard. The movie looks so real and is so visceral that it's actually scary to watch. I've watched this several times and I never watch movies several times nowadays.

2 - 3.5/5
How do you make a sequel to the best slasher movie ever? Put the seriousness in complete reverse and make a dark comedy/horror movie. People love this movie despite it going in the complete opposite direction of the first and I can see why. The effort the people who made it shows in the actors and set design. For me, I didn't like it as much since the comedy wasn't that funny to me and it seems a bit much for me since it's a direct sequel to the first.

III - 4/5
More or less on par with a high quality Friday the 13th movie. A decent movie to watch, but skippable.

Next Generation - 3.5/5
Though I can see why people dislike this one, I honestly like it. Just like the 2nd entry, this one goes for a more dark comedy/horror vibe and succeeds in my opinion with it's over-the-top nature. The only weird part to me is the last minute connection to the first entry during the ending.

2003 - 4.5/5
The first of Michael Bay's horror movie remakes and the best of them. It takes what makes the original work while being it's own unique film with updated visuals though updated doesn't mean better or worse.

The Beginning - 3.5/5
A sequel with an obvious ending since this happens before the original remake, which is its only major flaw. It tells a decent origin story some tense scenes that stay tense until you remember that this is an origin story.

3D - 3/5
It's ambitious in trying to be a sequel to the first one, but it fails. Not too hard mind you as the movie still tries to have fun with a decent level of quality. You, however, cannot make Leatherface into an anti-hero sort of character in this film or series no matter how hard you try, which is what this film tries to do. I didn't hate it as much as other people did and wouldn't mind watching it another time.

I recommend watching all of these if you're a fan of horror or slashers. The series is my favorite slasher series and I hope to see more of it in the future.

Friday the 13th Movies and Game short review

Friday the 13th - 4.5/5
Back when Friday the 13th wasn't associated with Jason, this movie instead focuses only on his mom trying to get revenge for him. Jason sort of/sort of doesn't pop up at the end to hint at a sequel, but it's clear that this was made with a lot of effort and care in contrast to some other slasher movies made for money. One of the best parts is that you don't know who the killer is until the end fight.

Part 2 - 4/5
The first movie that Jason stars in and he doesn't even have his mask yet. Definitely a good movie to watch during October.

Part 3 - 3.5/5
An average Friday the 13th movie in 3D or not in 3D if you care about your eye sight. The movie suffers a bit because of its forced 3D moments.

Final Chapter - 4/5
This was actually supposed to be the final Friday, but other people clearly thought differently. It shows that this was intended to be the last entry with the amount of effort and polish that went into the movie.

A New Beginning - 3/5
So much for the final chapter right? The only thing that separates this from the others is the two twists, the last of which doesn't carry over to the next movie. Decent, but skippable.

Jason Lives - 4.5/5
The more comedic of the Friday the 13th movies and some even consider this one of the best. It has actually good characters in the form of Tommy Jarvis and his girlfriend. Since we care for the characters, this has actual tension even though the movie breaks the 4th wall and gets you to laugh.

The New Blood - 3/5
Just adding Carrie to the series, but still a decent movie to watch. At this point of watching the series, watching each one was like eating popcorn with the occasional corn kernel.

Jason takes Manhattan - 3/5
A cock tease of a movie that promises Jason in NY but we only get that near the end of the movie. Most of it happens on a boat until then. The only thing that makes this movie okay is when a boxing champ tries to beat up Jason and he ends up getting his head punched off.

The Final Friday - 2.5/5
Jason isn't even Jason for most of this movie and instead just hops between bodies for most of the film until he gets his body back during the last 10 minutes. This isn't even really the final Friday as the ending sets up the Freddy vs Jason crossover.

Jason X - 4/5
The people who made this movie obviously didn't take it seriously and it shows, but it's actually one of the things that makes it fun. This horror/action/comedy/sci-fi movie that is a fun watch if you just want to watch something stupid and entertaining.

Freddy vs Jason - 4/5
It's Freddy from A Nightmare on Elm Street versus Jason. What's not to love?

2009 - 3.5/5
A film that presents itself as more serious, but is just as over-the-top as the rest of them. The only thing that makes this film better than some of the others is the improved special effects and the generally decent story.

The Game - 4/5
A game meant more for the fans than people who casually know the franchise. There's a bunch of references to the movies and the overall tone of the game is like the movies. A little scary, but enjoyable. There are a bunch of bugs in the game that decrease its quality, but they don't matter much to a fan like me.

Recommended watches in no particular order:
1st
2nd
Final Chapter
Jason Lives

Disproving Islam

This is more difficult or easier than disproving atheism depending on your point of view. David Wood on YouTube plus books by Robert Spencer are great sources to debunk Islam. Pictured and linked below is the single book, in my opinion, you can use to disprove Islam.

If you don't want to buy anything, then check out David Wood's videos on Islam especially his Countering Muslim Claims series. Below is one his videos and I've linked his channel in the recommended YouTubers to Follow section on the side and where his name appears on the post.

Storyline Dreams

I've had tons of dreams that follow a certain story or series of events that connect together and refer to each other. I got them in a sort of random order, but I managed to put them in what I think to be in correct order in my books Society's Monsters and Society's Monsters Reborn. If you're wondering, I first got these dreams in 7th grade starting with the second part of Reborn then I think two or three dreams which make the first Society's Monsters. After that, the rest of the dreams jump all over the timeline in the Reborn story. The way I connect them is by remembering the memories associated with them, my age at the time, what year of school I was in, and other memories that reference them.
I haven't included all the dreams and details I had in the Reborn story since some dreams came after I wrote the book and a lot of them are just normal everyday events. Definitely pick up these books if you're interested or if you're interested in the themes and morals that are in them. There's also the samples of the books in my free book samples on the side if you want to get a small taste of the stories.

My Worst Nightmares and How I Got Rid of Them

The worst kind of nightmare for me is something that I haven’t heard from anyone else. It started out on an odd morning with my nonna, bro, dad, and mom giving me the cold shoulder and responses that have a hint of anger towards me. Didn’t know what that was about, but it didn’t bother me that much. I went to high school and tried talking to my friends and other people, but they do the same, but more negative. At first, I thought it was a joke or I might’ve done something wrong to them before and they’re just getting back at me, but that didn’t appear to be the case. They were incredibly mean and degrading towards me which was unlike them. Even at home, my family turned on me for no reason. Maybe I really messed up? Maybe this is all part of an elaborate prank or surprise? I didn’t know. I went out to where I knew my friends were at night. Maybe I would get an answer.
The marketplace that I was at was filled with people, lights, and good will like how it always was until I arrived. People got quiet around me as I approached them and started talking to themselves. It sounded like they were talking about me. Once I was able to find my friends, they were disgusted by my appearance and everyone started mocking me. Pathetic, ugly, worthless, disgusting, a mistake, less than nothing, and many other evil words were throw at me. As I started to cry on the spot, they started to laugh at so I ran away. I ran until I tripped in front of an alleyway where a trash can fell on top of me. My tears couldn’t stop falling from my face and I didn’t want to go anywhere as I felt like the trash that was thrown away. Without any friends or family to help me, I can’t do anything and I didn’t know what to do. I found a sharp piece of glass in the trash and was going to kill myself, but I couldn’t. I had several dreams like this with different people in different situations. In other nightmares, I always kill the monster or I am the monster, but not in this one. The thing that this monster fears the most is not being able to be loved.
The way I stopped having this nightmare happened in the same nightmare.
I then remembered all the nightmares I had and told them, “You people aren’t my friends! You aren’t my family!”
A girl I knew said, “Are you sure about that?”
“They would never treat me this way! What are you doing in their bodies?! You don’t deserve to have their faces!”

I then tore the faces off each and every one of them, which killed them. I don’t know what they were. The words, ‘masquerade demons that appear in your mind and pretend to be corrupt versions of people you love’ spoke in my mind, but that doesn’t matter too much to me. I screamed out in victory knowing that I killed the pretenders. It’s been at least a year or two since I’ve had a dream like this so it’s safe to say I’m free of them and nightmare free.

My dream of Heaven

I apparently died with no wife, no kids, and not many book followers, but I did have a decent job and living. I appeared outside of Heaven’s gates with a short, dirtied white rob with a brown rope tied around my waist. There was dirt and blood all over me and as I looked up, I saw God and His people behind Him.
He smiled at me and said, “Aren’t you coming in?”
“I-I’m so dirty and bloodied. Do you really think I should come in?”
“Ha, the man who once swore “revenge” on Me is now sheepish and trembling before Me.”
Some of the people in the back start to laugh.
“But do not laugh at him since he has managed to get here. I will test you as to if you belong here. Close your eyes and hold out your hands. I’ll kick you down to hell if you don’t and pull you forward if you are.”
“Ok.”
I did as He said and get kicked in the gut. My eyes wanted to open but I kept them shut as I know I’m getting what I deserved. By the next second, however, I’m pulled forward and lifted up above God’s shoulders. My clothes are now instantly cleaned and the white robe I was wearing is now longer and brighter than it was before.
“Hahaha you’ve done it! Rejoice everyone for one of my lost sheep has returned!”
He put me on His shoulders and He carried me through the streets of Heaven while everyone rejoiced. All I did was just sheepishly stare in complete surprise and shock as to what happened with tears welling up in my eyes. We went up to God’s huge mansion and I sat at His left side and we feasted on all the wondrous kinds of food and drink they had. Eventually, people started talking to me directly about my struggles and accomplishments. It was a great party and after it, I saw the people who left me, family and friends. Some of my friends got married and had kids before they died. I’m somewhat disappointed that I wasn’t a father or husband, but what mattered was that I was with them. God allowed me to live with them and for the first day, it really felt like Heaven with them being with me. Sure, there were other things in Heaven like the Great Halls of Knowledge and Science, people sculpturing, painting, playing various kinds of music, and much more, but all that mattered to me was the people with me.
During the next day however, my friends and family barely noticed me. I couldn’t give hold a conversation with for a full minute which is strange because I could talk to everyone else I didn’t know with no problem. After the next day, it’s clear that I’m not that important to them than the other people around them so I left them at night time. I found a part of Heaven that has a dark room. I didn’t know if this was Purgatory or not but it sure seemed like it with how dark it was. There was nothing to do here so I just sat in the abyss and began to cry. This was Heaven but I was still getting ignored by people I wanted to care about me.
A girl who betrayed me before approached me from the darkness and said, “Heaven is not all it seemed to be am I right?”
“Whatever. I don’t want to talk about it.”
“I’m sure you can change that.”
“I’m not going to be some Anti-Christ or Devil. Go away.”
“Fine, but I’ll always be here if you need me.”
“I don’t.”
All of my friends and family appeared at the door to this abyss and tried to apologize to me and get me out of the darkness. They convinced me and for the day, everything was good, but by the next day, they went back to ignoring me. We went back and forth in this cycle a few times before I realized something. I was in Heaven and God is the most important person here, not my friends and family. I went up to Him and told Him that I was sorry for putting my friends and family above Him and we had another grand party. Jesus showed me to my own personal room in God’s palace and from then on, I was given a new set of friends and family to be with who gave me their attention. Even the Trinity and people like the saints joined us in our activities and we all had fun. This was a great taste of what Heaven is supposed to be.

Kaleidoscope Diversity Self-Reflection Paper

This is a paper I did for my Intro to AOD class. It seems interesting in my opinion and worth a look over.

Principle one of the Kaleidoscope Diversity Identity Model says that everyone possesses a diversity profile, which is a unique collection of diversity dimensions that combine and interact with each other. These diversity dimensions are personality, religion, race, gender etc. Principle two says that some of these diversity dimensions are more dominant than others and show which parts of ourselves is more experienced in a topic. For example, a person who’s political is likely going to be more knowledgeable about past and present politics and will want to talk about that the most. There are many diverse points to us that make us like each other, but never exactly the same so we’re all our own person. This gives us a lens through which to look at the world and the people that inhabit it as stated by the third principle. The lens will probably be wrong at first and will usually change as we go through life. Through this, we gain diversity competence which is always changing like how we always learn something new almost every day. Diversity competence is, however, contextual, dynamic, and even questionable in some circumstances according to the fifth and final principle of the Kaleidoscope Diversity Identity Model.
For this paper, I will be self-reflecting my own views, what my foundation is, and how it affects my view of the world. The foundation to all my views is the belief of Christianity. This is because many others and myself have found that an unmovable, unchanging, uncreated, but caring and merciful God is the most logical foundation to the creation of the universe and moral lawgiver. I’ve written sourced blog posts and fictional books to show others the lessons and the evidence for God and the good that it does to live a faithful life. God, for others and myself, is a constant factor and person that is always helping move forward and make the right decisions. Of course, I’ve tried to see things through the view of others who don’t use this as their foundation or moving factor, but I can’t find any real way to justify other positions. I’ve read and heard of multiple Christians who tell us to research our positions so we don’t operate on destructive blind faith and I have done that. Though I have found that the Christian ideology is the best to follow, I still try to treat others with respect as long as they return the same as this is one of the main lessons of Christianity.
On a side note, a smaller inspiration to me is a girl I knew whose name is Alicia. At an early age, she taught me how much my life meant and the beauty that exists in the world despite the evil and ugly people that can exist it in. Though she sometimes used the good image she’s accumulated to get away with certain selfish things, she tries to do good most of the time and stray away from her bad habits. Hey, everyone has a flaw about them and is hypocritical sometimes. Besides, girls that aren’t dangerous aren’t fun am I right? Anyways, she’s been a constant influence on me who takes from the same foundation to teach me to be patient with people and to see the good that always shines in the darkness. Though I don’t see her anymore, her example continues to carry me through the tough times, but I must admit that it is more difficult without her in my life.
The Christian view tells me to keep moving forward no matter the challenges. It says to stay on the right path and never do evil even if others are doing it. It tells me to keep living even though I’ve tried to kill myself several times. This faith is a main and unchanging part of my life that is a deciding factor to most if not all of my decisions and likes. It is a dominant part of my life that allows me to live in the best way possible while still letting me choose certain things to do like getting a job and becoming a writer. It helps me help other people so I can show them how they can fully enjoy their life or at least make it a bit easier. Though it has its restrictions, all ideologies have restrictions even those with weaker foundations or the “no rules” rule.
The way of learning through it is very much like Coomb’s Typology of Educational Settings. It uses each of the settings in our lives even though God might seem like an informal type of teacher events and people that force us to think on our feet and remember past moments. This life gives us many long formal teachers such as school teachers, parents, and even God Himself who will teach us for long amounts of time before dropping a test at the end that has the rewards with wisdom or love most of the time. We are also shown how to act through the examples of saints, great moral people, and Jesus Christ most importantly and told to act like these people. It’s almost a very visual way of teaching and very hands on as all of the lessons given come up daily in life or at multiple single moments in our life like when a stranger asks for help or someone tries to pick a fight with you.
I still love various things through the Christian mindset such as horror and violent stories like Silent Hill, The Punisher, and Fallout. It would be hypocritical for Christians to say these things are not good influences since they have good morals and themes. Plus, the Bible is full of death, violence, and sex so there’s that to throw at them. It’s all about context when it comes to touchy topics such as murder and rape. If you have rape in fiction just to see people get raped then that’s just wrong, but if you have rape to talk about the effects of it then that’s okay. Horror such as Silent Hill can teach you about the monsters that live within ourselves and how we live with them. Subjects such as these teach me to see the results of suffering which includes the good and the bad of it. Silent Hill is the main inspiration for my main book series called Choice and Consequence where I try to entertain and teach people the results of things such as; romance, normality, redemption, losing yourself, and so on. I’ve used a very Bloom’s Taxonomy Cognitive Domain- like model for book writing as I create books, evaluate the criticism then apply it to my next work and remember the lessons so I can keep improving my work. I’ve learned that pain and suffering are teaching and moving actors that get us to act and to keep being good people instead of being lazy and evil. On reflection, things like horror and violent stories aren’t okay to listen to because we’ve found a way to stretch our acceptance, they’ve always been okay and we’ve learned why.
My values in goodness as affected my music taste as I only to listen to Christian metal bands or bands that generally agree with Christian values. I sometimes listen to other genres like 80s or 90s rap, rock, or Johnny Cash country music. The songs I listen to have to either talk about something good, something fun or talk about suffering in a way that it actually is. It could also talk about suicide, criticisms of disbelief, or obsessed love, but those are few and far between. I’ve stopped listening to other bands who are hypocrites or don’t know what they’re talking about even if they have good sounding music.
As far as politics, a good moral and scientific foundation is essential in deciding who to side with. In this current politic climate, the conservatives are the best side to listen to. They applaud Trump when he’s right and scold him when’s wrong, unlike the liberals who do nothing but criticize him and never criticize their own. They claim to be open and diverse but are against it by being against Christians, people of all races if they think they’re wrong, and many others. Liberals today are nothing but Marxists or Communists who try to force people what to think and do through force or through the government. I’ve tried to think in their place, but nothing they say makes sense unless you apply their own distorted reality to what is the actual reality that most sane people agree on. Unlike what they tell you, I’m not racist, bigoted, or sexist. I write stories that go against these terrible things and I treat everyone equally unless they’ve given me a reason not to such as; being a liar, sociopath, or untrustworthy. I swear I’ve been in the headspace of perverts and killers who had more sane mindsets than some of these people. They can try to convince me of their points all they want, they can make fun of me, they can beat me up, but they will never get me to believe their self-destructive ideology that will be the death of them and those they get roped in. Now with that rant out of the way of the hypocrites of today let’s get off it.
My thoughts on things that I’ve mentioned have evolved over the years especially in college where my religion and views have been challenged. Because of this challenge, I went out and researched various unbiased and correct sources to see the truth behind what I know. Through my research and study that I’ve done on my own and with the help of God, I’ve strengthened my faith, become wiser, and gotten smarter when it comes to politics. I freely admit that I can still be wrong about things, but now I’m better at recognizing the truth and saying why it’s the truth. I’m, however, still not that good at writing lengthy papers and long novels as my expertise is writing short stories or novellas for people who don’t usually read books and would rather play a video game, read a comic, or watch a TV show or movie.

In conclusion, because of this paper, I can see how my foundation has given me a lens that colors my world in a particular light. It allows other views to show but stays steadfast in its goodness and values. I will change for the better in the future because of it and I hope to teach others the good that I know. Without a doubt, this lens that has helped hundreds of millions of others in the past continues to help people in the present live fulfilling and good lives and will continue to in the future.

What I think to be the easiest way to convince God exists and that Christianity is true

Atheist Police Detective Examines the Resurrection of Jesus becomes Christian

Lecture by acclaimed police detective J. Warner Wallace. Wallace was an atheist while rejecting the New Testament claims on the resurrection of Jesus. However, after examining the evidence of Christianity and the resurrection of Jesus, he became a born-again Christian.

This is a great video to watch if you want to know why Christianity is true in the shortest amount of time possible.

Choice and Consequence of Reaching Beyond

Humans have conducted research on the paranormal as long as they’ve known of spirits. It is currently the early 1900s and an exorcist by the name of Emmanuel enters an abandoned hospital to search not only for spirits, but for a supposed door to Heaven or hell. He walks through the facility while strongly gripping his cross. The hospital feels way more different than it did before when Emmanuel was walking through it with the owner. Something or someone is watching him from the corners of darkness to see what he does. Noises and voices echo throughout the building. Some make Emmanuel follow them while others make him go in another direction.
A bright light down in the basement gets him to walk down and he finds that the entire floor has been burned, which is strange because the hospital never suffered a fire. He finds charred corpses stuck in metal restraints that are uncomfortable to say the least. Some have spikes that dig through their skin, some in terrible positions while others are roasted above a fire. Loud screams of agony echo throughout the realm and never seem to stop. Emmanuel tries to find a way out, but is stopped by the sight of two demonic creatures who are approaching him. Fearing for his soul, he runs the other way and the creatures give chase. The crawl all over the ceiling while lunging at him to try to slow him down. Once they get the opportunity, they attack him, but the cross he’s carrying shields him from their blows. He manages to escape the basement and once he looks back, he sees that the basement is no longer charred so he catches his breath for the moment.
Emmanuel isn’t out of the woods, however, as the demons appear to be invisible, but the marks they make on the walls can still be seen. He stops himself from cursing before running again, this time running upstairs hoping that this will lead to Heaven. With each passing flight of stairs, that possibility seems less and less likely especially with the demons constantly bugging him with their attacks and taunts. Once he gets to the roof, he finds that the scenery hasn’t changed in the slightest and the demons catch up to him. With nowhere else to go, he blesses himself and readies himself for a fight. Since the demons are invisible, he can only get a few lucky hits in while the demons try to push him off the roof since they can’t physically harm him. He gets pushed further and further to the edge until he’s hanging by the edge. The demons don’t allow him to climb up and keep stomping on the shield protecting him to make the force of it make him fall. Suddenly, the sky brightens and the demons are seemingly taken out, but Emmanuel is still losing his grip.
He finally falls an invisible hand tries to catch him and he falls down several stories. Everything in his body hurts now with multiple bruises, cuts, and broken bones. Thinking he’s going to die, he manages to hold his cross to his chest and says a little prayer. A light envelops him which allows him to get up and walk without much pain. The same light begins to guide him, but it guides him away from the closest town. Emmanuel begins to doubt the light and this is when a person driving a car comes by to help him and he is driven off to a hospital. It is discovered that Emmanuel’s legs are broken and he shouldn’t have been able to walk much less survive the fall. He’s confined to a wheelchair now, but he still manages to get around to places. Places where he preaches the dangers of forcing the paranormal aspects of the world to interact with you. He is even more faithful now than ever before since he feels protected by the light, but every now and then, he sees dark figures with glowing red eyes in the corner of his eyes.

Choice and Consequence: Beginnings

A story is passed down from generation to generation that involves the mysterious condition humans suffer from. A condition that involves monsters born from the personality of those who have it. This involves a man, who is made from dust, being born in an indigenous forest with no other humans around.
An angel appears to him and says, “Do not be afraid for I am the Angel of the Lord. He commands you to follow me. I will protect you from any dangers that might dare cross our path.”
Not knowing what else to do, the man follows the angel. Their journey takes several days with the angel taking care of the man. The Angel teaches the man how to eat, survive, speak, make clothes, defend himself, and even show love to each other. Along the path they walk, the trees and animals become monsters that try to kill the man, but the Angel converts them back to their normal state by showing the man their true nature. Another lesson the angel gives, is the lesson to reject superstition and follow what is true and good. From this point on, the man befriends some of the animals, but he befriends a wolf that becomes his best friend. As they get closer to the destination, a flying serpent slithers through the forest with his army, who look like fallen angels, block their path.
“Traitor! You will not trick another human being!” the Angel yells out.
“What is one human man worth?” the serpent responds, “He and his kind will cause you more grief than us.”
“And yet you have caused Me the most grief Morning Star. I give the power of the Spirit of the Lord to the man to assist us in this battle.”
A phoenix comes from the sun and enters the man who is now able to wield His power. The Angel of the Lord fights the fire-breathing serpent while the man and his companion fight the numerous fallen angels. Though they keep coming, the Spirit of the Lord makes the man invincible enough to fight the fallen angels until they retreat when the Angel of the Lord defeats the serpent.
The Angel then says to the man, “The Morning Star has left this creature and I have purified it. Bring it to your destination and feed and clothe the people there with its remains. I will leave you when we get there, but you must treat them the way I have treated you. Teach them as I have taught you.”
The man carries the carcass to his destination and the people there rejoice for the man’s appearance. The village was experiencing a food shortage and needed clothes for impending winter. They’ve kept their faith and have been graciously rewarded. The man does as the Angel said and the village becomes a great people.
All that is in this story was found in caves, old stone tablets, and word of mouth. It is unknown if the story actually happened, but it does prove that the Human Mirror condition has existed since the dawn of man and its paranormal qualities.

"Cheesecake"/Indie female character driven comic reviews

These kinds of comics might just seem like sexist, stupid stories made by men with the intelligence of a teenager, but they're not...well not exactly. Here's a short review of the pictured comics.

Zombie Tramp
A prostitute is setup with a zombie and becomes a zombie because of it. A voodoo witch gives her the opportunity for revenge against the person who wronged her and she takes it. This story happens after the first set of Zombie Tramp comics which I haven't read yet. The story and style of this comic is grindhouse which, if you didn't know, is tons of gore, tough, beautiful ladies, over-the-top action, and a sense of humor. Zombie Tramp has this in spades and is a really enjoyable story to read if you want to read something for fun.

Vampblade
A comic book store cashier obtains a pair of blades in her store when it's under attack and she becomes the fictional comic book character Vampblade. She has the same powers and abilities as the character and details about the story come true as if the story the comic was based on was real. The story is pretty interesting and is full of fun action. It can get a little too pandering to nerds, but it's an overall fun book to read.

Dollface
A witch hunter is saved from execution and her soul in put into a robotic sex doll that battle against witches. This witch hunter is out for revenge and hunts the witches that have wronged her and her family. Since this is made by the same guy who made Zombie Tramp, it shares a similar level of quality. Speaking about her, Zombie Tramp appears in this comic as one of the main antagonists and acts more like a springboard to show Dollface's power and ability. It's nice to see a shared universe (heck, even Vampblade appears in Zombie Tramp), but it feels weird that Zombie Tramp is more of a test for this character and nothing more. Instead of the grindhouse inspired story, this one is inspired by manga. Just like the previous three, this is a great book to just sit back and enjoy.

These ones pictured above are more mainstream like Hack/Slash, Witchblade, and Red Sonja so I might not say as much depending on the comic.

Hack/Slash
A comic series for those who like slasher movies like Friday the 13th and Halloween. If you like those movies or at least the good ones then you'll like this series. It's as simple as that though the art can be a bit polarizing.

Dejah Thoris
I don't know much about the Warlord of Mars/John Carter series, but it looks interesting. The story presented here was fun and a good introduction to the series.

Jungle Girl
A female Tarzan book basically. It's a good adventure story full with fun action and great art.

Witchblade
A female police officer obtains a powerful weapon only meant for females who it determines should wield it. It also protects its user from all harm including self harm. The layout of the comic is a bit weird though the story is interesting. I watched the anime adaptation which is pretty good and the original comics carry a similar level of quality.

Vampirella
Essentially a horror action comic with vampires. The series has a long history and is great to read if you just want something fun.

Lady Death
A fantasy story starring an anti hero protagonist who must take her throne of evil from someone who is more evil than her. This is an interesting premise and though the story doesn't do much with it, it does still deliver a solid experience.

Red sonja
The most popular of these comics. If you like Conan the Barbarian, swords and sorcery, and adventure, then you'll like these comics.

All in all, these comics are good if you want to read something fun and not too heavy. I didn't mention it, but all of these main characters are all strong despite being eye candy. Jungle Girl is resourceful, Zombie Tramp is slick, Vampirella is seductive and powerful, Cassie Hack (from Hack/Slash) is determined and never gives up, etc. I definitely recommend these comics that do a better job of making strong female character than SJW writers.
